    It was the golden age with Carlos and Salgado overlapping on each side with Becham, Figo, Raul, Zidane, Ronaldo, Casillas, Hierro, Makelele, Helguera…
    Hope a era like that start now, its certainly a good point with Mourinho bringing in a young team, and buying players he need not just the “best”……

  5. Entiendo de fútbol y la entrada a Juninho en Vigo todavía me duele a mí.
    Dios…fue a romperle. Le destrozó la carrera a un chaval supermajo que estaba empezando a despuntar en el Atleti!
    Vergüenza le tenía que dar haber seguido jugando al fútbol.
    Ojalá y la vida haga justicia. ¡Hijo de puta!

    As a lot of the commentarys indicate, this guy stopped his career at Real a bit too late, which is why some remember him as a poor player. But make no mistake, in the era of Figos and Zidanes he was as important on the rightback as Carlos was on the left. He was an amazing player in both defence and going forward always animating his teammates to perform with his constant hard work and inspiring presence.
