Spanish tabloids, As and Mundo Deportivo reveals that that Sevilla have shown interest in the fullback with Sporting director Monchi confirming that an offer has been made for the player. It is thought that Madrid are willing to loan the defender who impressed for the club last season.

The arrival of French fullback Ferland Mendy had relegated the defender to third choice left-back at the club and it is no surprise that he is looking for more playing time at Sevilla.

The Spanish left-back would reunite with former Real Madrid coach JulenLopetegui, who was the first manager to give him an extended run in the first team. Reguilon completed some impressive performances and even earned the starting spot when Solari was in charge displacing Marcelo from the first team.

However, the arrival of Zinedine Zidane saw the defender relegated back to a spot on the bench. Reguilon is a quality defender that can bolster the defensive positions for Sevilla. His pace and defensive aggression is a key attribute of his game.

He also boasts of incredible stamina and has a similar playing style as Spanish legendary fullback Michel Salgado.  The loan move is most likely a way for the player to continue his footballing education at a high profile club.

Real Madrid would be hoping that he can have an excellent season for the club which would make him a valuable asset that they could transfer next summer.

Real Madrid are well stocked in the leftback position after paying €50 million to sign French left-back Ferland Mendy from Lyon. Reguilon great potential and that’s why Madrid just want a loan deal to a club where he can have a relevant role

The transfer is expected to be completed in the coming days with both teams close to an agreement.
